About the event
Pennsylvania Prescribed Fire Council will host its PA Certified Prescribed Burn Manager (CPBM) course this Fall at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. The class will take place October 7th and 8th with an optional additional day on the 9th. The course will provide 24 total hours of instruction (8 hours as online pre-work, 16 in-person) on how to safely and effectively plan and implement low-complexity controlled burns.
Please note that spaces are limited and there is a July 31, 2026 cutoff-date to apply. The Certification Board will select students. We will notify selected students as soon as possible so they can make logistical arrangements. Selected students will be emailed invoice of $100 to pay which will be due by August 31st. Students not selected for this class may be selected for the next class when the date is set.
